Why SMS pricing is so spread out
Underneath, every provider pays roughly the same fraction of a cent per message to carriers. What you're paying for above that is software: campaign tools, compliance handling, keywords, support. Twilio's API works out to roughly $0.012 per text once carrier fees are counted; Klaviyo's credits run about $0.009; pay-as-you-go platforms charge $0.02–0.05 per text for convenience.
